Medicare EPC program and podiatry referrals
Eligibility for medicare EPC odiatry consultations
Patients with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, and cardiovascular disease may be eligible for subsidised podiatry consultations through the Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) program.
Accessing medicare benefits
To access these benefits, you must have a Team Care Arrangement (TCA) and an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referral from your General Practitioner (GP). This referral ensures your GP remains involved in your ongoing healthcare and enables you to receive a Medicare rebate for your podiatry consultations. Please provide details of the reason for your podiatry visit when booking, so we can prepare appropriately and ensure your consultation addresses your needs.
Important details
- Bulk-billed podiatry consultations under this Medicare plan are limited and available exclusively to pensioners holding a valid pension card. Due to limited availability, patients are advised to contact the clinic to confirm their eligibility and secure a bulk-billed appointment.
- Medicare covers the consultation fee only. Additional specialised services—such as orthotic therapy, biomechanical assessments, nail surgery, paraffin treatments—and any products or devices are not covered under this plan and will incur separate costs.
